What we've shipped, and what's coming next
SoloCogs is built openly. We tell you when things are ready. We tell you when they're not. And we tell you what we're working on so you can plan around us - whether you're a family committing to two months' free trial, a Head of Science mapping SoloCogs against your rollout, or a tutor building your service on top of ours.

Shipped and running in production. Every family that signs up in the founding window gets everything below on day one.
-
SoloLab - AQA GCSE + KS3 Science
Every AQA GCSE unit content-complete for Foundation and Higher tier, Combined (Trilogy) and Separate (Triple) sciences. KS3 curriculum layered on top with age-appropriate visuals + gradual release scaffolding. See the full spec-coverage matrix.
-
SoloCognition - confidence-rated baseline assessment
Every question answered with a confidence dot as well as a mark. Four Knowledge Flags (Secure / Hesitancy / Misconception / Gap) drive what your child is asked next.
-
SoloSight - dashboards for parents, tutors, teachers, HoDs
Per-child grade view + effort + Knowledge Map for parents; per-cohort heatmap + SEND filter + evidence PDFs for staff.
-
Auto-apply accessibility from SENCo tags
If your SENCo has flagged your child as dyslexic, ADHD, autistic, visually impaired, etc. via demographic tags, SoloCogs sets the matching accessibility toggles on their first login automatically. They can override any toggle from the panel.
-
Wonde-side integration
Built against Wonde's developer sandbox; production credentials pending Wonde partner approval. Once schools onboard, roster sync is nightly + webhook-triggered incrementals.
-
Bulk CSV import (staff + students)
SIMS-export-friendly CSV upload for schools onboarding a full class at a time. Wonde-linked pupils auto-hydrate their year group + school on match.
-
SENCo evidence PDF + EHCP/EOTAS pack
Downloadable A4 PDF summarising your child's normal way of working on SoloCogs - for the SENCo's Form 8 (access arrangements) or an EHCP / EOTAS submission.
In build - shipping through August
Written, being polished, or waiting on one final signal. Live inside four weeks unless flagged.
-
Predicted grade + confidence interval on staff dashboard
Extends the working-at grade widget with a projected grade at exam date + a confidence band. Useful for Y10 tier-decision conversations and Y11 intervention prioritisation.
Requested by Heads of Science and parents of Y11 high-achievers. -
Chemistry C9 (Atmosphere) content lift
Currently ~55 sections vs peer units' 65-110. Lifting to parity ahead of full public launch - flagged as Spec-light on the coverage matrix.
Cited by every HoD who sampled multiple units. -
Wonde partner approval + first pilot school
Pending Wonde's partner review. Once approved, the first school pilot can roster in a full 200-pupil year group via SIMS in one CSV or one MIS sync.
-
LA-portfolio PDF export (home-ed)
Same shape as the SENCo evidence PDF but framed for a Local Authority visit or annual review. Aggregate counts of work done, plus a per-topic Knowledge Map snapshot.
Requested by home-ed families who need evidence for LA reviews. -
Present-mode toggle for tutor screen-shares
Hides page chrome + notifications during a tutor session so screen-shares don't leak nav clutter. Bound to a keyboard shortcut so it's a single-tap during a session.
H2 2026 - Aug through December
Committed for this half. Each of these has a design brief and a rough sequence; specifics may shift by a fortnight either way.
-
Daily-nudge queue (spaced-repetition-style)
A short "your 5-a-day" queue that surfaces items your child hasn't nailed yet. Opt-in, no punishment for missed days.
Closes the Tassomai habit-loop gap while staying true to our "no shame loop" principle. -
Cyber Essentials certification
The industry-standard UK government-backed baseline for cyber security. Blocks £-committing procurement conversations for many schools; getting this ticked off unlocks a class of MAT deals.
-
Pilot case studies
Anonymised writeups from the summer founding pilots - one per user-type. What a real school / family / tutor / SENCo actually did with SoloCogs and what changed.
HoDs and SLT keep saying "the ceiling isn't product quality, it's proof." -
SENCo dashboard cut
Split off from the HoD dashboard. SEND-first framing: access arrangements audit trail, SEND-cohort progress at the top, safeguarding queue if a DSL flag fires.
-
Multi-student tutor console
One page with all your students as tiles, with the currently-relevant metric visible on each. Removes the "switch views 40 times" tax that solo tutors carrying 30+ pupils hit.
-
Ltd company for MAT-scale procurement
Sole-trader-Ltd conversion. Removes a hard cap on Trust-scale deals - most MAT procurement forms require Ltd status.
H1 2027 - January through June
Directionally committed. Sequence within the half is still flexible; we adjust based on what founding-family feedback + pilot data tells us to prioritise.
-
PWA offline mode - current unit cacheable
Cache the current unit locally so chronic-fatigue days, school-refusal recovery days, or patchy-signal train journeys don't break study.
Requested by home-ed + EBSA families across every audit round. -
MAT rollup / multi-school trends view
Trust-level dashboard aggregating across all schools in a MAT. Which school is doing what well, where the SEND cohort divergence is, where to move CPD next.
-
White-label subdomain login for tutor companies
tutoring-co.solocogs.co.uk with your logo + colour scheme. Your students see your brand; the SoloCogs content stays underneath.
-
Multilingual top-level parent summary
Polish / Punjabi / Urdu at minimum for the top strip of the parent dashboard. So an EAL parent can see "she's doing OK" without needing English fluency.
-
Session-plan PDF content upgrade
Currently reads as a data dump. Upgrade to a proper lesson-plan format: "what to cover", "what to skip", "prompts to try when they get stuck".
Later - on the board, no committed date
Things we know we want to build. Sequence depends on adoption signal + demand-verification.
-
BSL-signed unit intros
Signed intros to each unit for Deaf students. Waiting on demand verification + a signer we trust to work with.
-
KS5 A-level Science
Natural next-step after KS4. Depends on how KS3/KS4 lands - if founding families are asking for continuation into A-level, we build it.
-
Google Classroom + MS Teams deep integration
Post assignments straight into the LMS. Not competing with LMS - fitting inside it.
-
Other subjects (Maths, English, Humanities)
Only if a specialist teacher builds it with us. We won't add subjects we can't own the depth of.
How we decide what to build next
Two inputs, in this order:
1. Real people asking. Every founding family gets a month-one and month-two feedback survey; every school pilot gets a debrief. What we hear from 3+ people in the same week jumps the queue - that's how the auto-apply accessibility ship (5 personas asked, we shipped in a week) happened.
2. What SEND students need. If the choice is between a cool feature and closing an accessibility gap, the gap wins. Every time. That's the whole point of SoloCogs.
We're not chasing feature parity with Seneca or Tassomai. We're building what those platforms can't: science education designed for every kind of mind. If you spot something you want, please tell us.
