Per-seat pricing for tutors. Per-student bands for schools.
Sole tutors can self-serve below - two-minute account setup, free access until 9 October 2026, then £49/month. Schools and tutoring companies get a custom-built quote shaped around headcount, subjects, and how many staff need SoloSight access. Pilot terms available for the first 30 students.
Indicative bands
Per pupil, per academic year. SoloLab + SoloCognition both included as standard, plus every Science teacher, HoD, SENCo and SLT lead at no extra cost. Final quotes shape around subjects, years, and headcount. Procurement officers - the full evidence pack (legal entity, insurance, DPIA, sub-processors, safeguarding flow, DSL named) is at /procurement.html.
All prices ex-VAT. Multi-year and MAT discounts available. Pilot terms available in the first term for any new school. FSM & Pupil Premium cohorts covered at a floor rate - email hello@solocogs.co.uk with your total pupil count + FSM-entitled count and we'll come back within one working day with a firm quote. Our goal is that no FSM or SEND child is priced out - if your budget doesn't reach the standard tier, tell us what it does reach and we'll work backwards from there.

The bands above are starting points - the actual contract shapes around your headcount, which subjects you need, year groups, and how many staff want SoloSight access. Pilot terms are available for any new school in their first term.

Common questions
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Family subscriptions are rolling monthly with no minimum term - cancel from your account at any point and you keep access until the end of the billing period. The full rules - including the 14-day cooling-off right and the situations where we always refund - are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What happens to my data and progress if I cancel?
Your account is kept on a 90-day grace window after cancellation in case you change your mind - your progress, Knowledge Map, and SoloSight history are still there if you reactivate. After 90 days the account is fully deleted in line with our privacy policy.
Which exam board does SoloCogs cover?
All four AQA GCSE Science routes: Combined Science Trilogy (8464), Biology (8461), Chemistry (8462) and Physics (8463) - both Foundation and Higher tier. Triple sections carry an indigo badge so Combined students always know what's Triple-only. The 2027 AQA reform is on the roadmap. If you're on a different board, drop us a line via Contact - we're happy to flag what is and isn't transferable.
Does SoloCogs cover Higher Tier, or is it Foundation only?
Both. SoloCogs is Foundation-first by design - that's our accessible-by-design ethos - but students aiming at grades 5-9 can switch their account to Higher Tier in settings. Higher unlocks the HT-only spec points inside SoloCognition (e.g. Le Chatelier's principle, transformer current calculations, oxygen debt clearance, ionic equations for precipitates). Foundation content stays available - Higher is additive, not a separate platform. If a Higher student needs to dip back to Foundation for a confidence reset, they can.
The SoloLab resource pages are written in plain English for everyone; the assessment tier is what controls which questions appear.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes - upgrade or downgrade from your account at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing date so you don't lose access mid-cycle.
Is there a device limit?
No. The student account works on any modern browser - phone, tablet, laptop, school Chromebook. A single plan covers one child; the family bundle covers up to 2 children on one parent account. Got more than 2? Get in touch about a multi-student plan.
Do you offer free trials or concessions?
Yes - the whole first half term, free. Join before 30 September and there is nothing to pay until 1 November. Cancel before then and nothing is taken. For SEND-specific concessions, please get in touch.
How is school pricing different from family pricing?
School and tutor packages are quoted on the call rather than listed publicly. The shape of the quote depends on student headcount, which subjects and tier you need, and how many staff want SoloSight access. Get a quote and we'll come back within 1-2 working days with a costed plan.
Do tutors need to connect any school systems?
No. School systems sync is a schools-only workflow, and optional even for them. Sole tutors can sign up directly via register-tutor and start straight away with nothing to connect.
