Stories

What it looks like in real classrooms, kitchens, and tutoring rooms.

SoloCogs is in closed beta. A small number of mainstream secondary, SEND, and home-ed settings are running pilots right now. We post anonymised outcomes here as each pilot completes - never invented, never embellished.

Where we are honestly: Some of the cards below are pilot-in-progress placeholders. We could fill them with stock quotes and made-up numbers. We won't. When a pilot completes and the school / family agrees to share their data, the placeholder gets replaced with their real story. Built by an educator - we know what an actual "evidence-based outcome" should read like, and we won't print anything less.

Three cohort shapes the platform is built around

SoloCogs was built to be accessible by design by a qualified teacher who tested every flow with their own students before opening the closed beta. These are the three cohort shapes the design pattern fits - each placeholder card below is a slot we'll fill with anonymised data once the first pilot in that shape completes.

Pilot under way

Mainstream secondary - Y10 Foundation class

Shape: 26 students, mixed prior attainment, ~6 with SEND support plans. The class teacher uses SoloCogs for homework + flipped-learning sub-units; the platform handles the marking + misconception flags.

Pilot data lands here once the cohort completes their first half-term (currently scheduled for the autumn term 2026). We'll post the average sub-unit completion rate, the percentage of students who triggered a misconception flag, and a teacher-written reflection on what changed in the classroom. - placeholder. Real teacher quote replaces this when the pilot ends.

Pilot under way

SEND-heavy setting - mixed EHCP cohort

Shape: Small group, every student on an EHCP, mix of autism + ADHD + dyslexia + working-memory profiles. Used for one-to-one Foundation-tier study with a TA alongside; the accessibility panel (read-aloud, plain language, colour overlays, A-/A+) gets used heavily.

Pilot data lands here once the cohort completes a 6-week block. We'll post: total accessibility-tool minutes per student (without naming any student), the change in confidence-rating distribution on SoloCognition between baseline and end-of-block, and a SENCo-written reflection on the access-arrangement evidence the platform produced. - placeholder. Real SENCo quote replaces this when the pilot ends.

Home-ed family - Y10 + Y11

Shape: One family, two children both working at Foundation tier, ND profile (autism + dyslexia). Parent runs the programme; SoloCogs is the structured-content + evidence-output layer. The Download-progress PDF feeds the LA visit folder.

Pilot data lands here once a full term has been logged. We'll post: how the parent used the progress PDF for the LA visit, how the children rated the platform's plain-language toggle and accessibility tools, and a home-ed-parent reflection on what filled a gap vs what didn't. - placeholder. Real parent quote replaces this when the pilot ends.

Want to be one of the pilot cohorts?

We're running a small number of free pilots in mainstream secondary, SEND, and home-ed settings before public launch. In exchange for using the platform for a term, you get free access during the pilot, direct line to the founder for feedback, and your anonymised data may appear here as a case study (with your sign-off).

If you're a school, SENCo, or home-ed parent and that sounds useful, get in touch - we'll talk through whether it fits.
